On Saturday, 7th<\/sup> March 2026, \u00a0members of \u201cContra Margum\u201d Association, together with our friends from \u201cTilija\u201d plant nursery and the owner of the restaurant \u201cRiblja \u010carda\u201d, planted 40 new saplings of deciduous trees by the Danube pier.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201cMapsoft\u201d company from Belgrade donated 6 ash tree saplings which were planted at the Dunavac entrance. During the year 2025, within aerial photography taking and LiDAR scanning, they generated approximately 3 tonnes of CO2<\/sub>. They calculated that it takes 6 new trees in order to absorb the approximate amount of CO2<\/sub>, which they did, as a socially responsible company, by donating to our Association. We hope that many other companies from our town, who generate large amounts of CO2<\/sub> through their work, will follow this example of socially responsible business conduction and respond to our call by joining some of our future actions or organise planting trees independently.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Association of Sportfishermen and Sailors \u201cDunav\u201d from Kovin donated 3 Koelreuteria paniculata saplings which were planted by their office, while the \u201cRiblja \u010darda\u201d restaurant owner decided to support our action by planting 10 ash trees.<\/p>\n\n\n

During this action, trees were also planted by In\u017eenjering DOO, RP \u017degarac Pera, Feroprodukt DOO, ODD Ta\u010dnost, Eva Veselinovi\u0107, Ma\u0161a Vuleti\u0107, Sanja Iglend\u017ea, Nada \u017degarac, Nata\u0161a Nedeljkovi\u0107, Jovana Mer\u010da, Luka Topalovi\u0107, Jovan An\u0111elkov, Lav Krivo\u0161i\u0107, Sa\u0161a Luki\u0107, \u0110or\u0111e \u0106osi\u0107 and others who wish to remain anonymous. We are immensely grateful to all of them and we hope they are satisfied by what we accomplished today for the benefit of all our fellow citizens, as well as all the guests and visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n

We also owe gratitude to the managers and employees of the Public Utility Company\u00a0 \u201cKovinski komunalac\u201d who once again helped us to implement this project. With their combination machines they dug all the holes and enabled a water connection at the fountain for the purpose of watering the saplings we planted.<\/p>\n\n\n

Also, we are grateful to Municipal Administration of Kovin for recognising our activities as socially beneficial and suppored our work. Many thanks to Radio BUS and Kovinske Info for media coverage of our action. We sincerely hope that in november 2026, during our forthcoming action \u201cMy tree 005\u201d we will have an opprtunity to plant more than 100 new saplings in our town, for which help will be necessary from all those who want Kovin to be a healthier, cleaner, and a nicer place to live in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
