On February 14th, a Book Giving Day was organised by our “Contra Margum” Association and “Vuk Karadžić” Library in Kovin. From 5 to 7 pm, our fellow citizens, association members and library members donated a generous number of books. In a pleasant atmosphere with refreshments, the attendees were able to talk about literature, their reading habits and needs, express their attitudes about the importance of books as weel as listen to some excerpts from world and national literatures. They were also interested in the activities of our Association, so we briefly informed them about our activities and projects. The moderator for the evening was Professor Maša Vuletić. A total of 364 books were collected, 80 titles of which were donated to the “Vuk Karadžić” Library; 187 books were divided into ten groups, one for each of the primary schools on the territory of our municipality.
