“Contra Margum” Citizens’ Association successfully completed the My Tree – 003 planting activity on 22nd and 29th November 2025. A total of 54 hardwood trees and 50 black pine seedlings were planted on 9 different locations in Kovin.

In the kindergarten yard next to High School 7 trees were planted, at the playground next to Fire station 3, at the PIK playground by the 5 trees, at the park in front of the Catholic church 3, and 9 more behind the church, in the yard of the “old” kindergarten 4 and another 22 in the City Park.
In the schoolyard of “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Primary School 10 black pine… were planted and a plane tree instead of the wilted aronia (?) tree, whereas in the yard of the “Branko Radičević” High School the remaining 40 sadnica? Of black pine tree were planted.
Students, teachers, professors and headmasters of these schools all participated in the planting activity for which we are most grateful. We sincerely hope that they will take care of the planted seedlings and that they will survive and grow into rows of trees that will make the stay in schoolyards more pleasant for some other students.
“Contra Margum” Citizens’ Association from Kovin is beginning to plan the project “My Tree 004” set to be implemented at the beginning of spring 2026. Our wish is to create a small Japanese garden in the yard of “Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Primary School and to enrich the space around the Danube. We sincerely hope that with the help of our memebrs as well as neighbours who support us, we will successfully organise another project and make our Kovin an even nicer, healthier and more cultured place to live, because…
