On May 30 and 31, 2025, the Citizens’ Association “Contra Margum” Kovin organized Kovin Rock Festival – KRF 2025 – in cooperation with Kovin Cultural Center and with the support of Kovin Municipal Administration. On Friday, May 30, 2025, the Exhibition “Kovin Rock Scene”, by Jovana Vujovic Krivosic, was opened in Kovin Cultural Center Gallery. The setting of this exhibition consisted of photographs, fanzines, books, texts, posters, etc. showing how diverse the rock scene in our city was during the last 60 and more years. During the exhibition openning, musical support was provided by the experienced duo “Una & Beli” and our young and very talented fellow citizens Rastko, Andrej and Ognjen.

On Saturday, May 31, 2025, a few local bands performed on the CZK Kovin terrace: SOBAKA, having their first public performance, followed by the experienced ZuckeRPuppeN, XANT and VIS Ita Rina. With this concert, the tradition of holding the Kovin Rock Festival, which started back in 1986, was continued. We hope that next year we will be able to organize KRF 2026, which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of this festival, and that then there will be space to present all local bands that are currently working, that we will be able to invite some more famous bands from the region as guests, and maybe even convince some old local “stars” to come back from “retirement” for this occasion. We are sure that this type of an event would significantly contribute to the cultural and touristic offer of our town.
During both festival days, a Humanitarian Bazaar was organized to offer the visitors various handicrafts made by artists from Kovin and by our guests, as well as numerous authentic artifacts related to rock culture. There was no entrance fee for none of the festival evenings, but visitors participated in the humanitarian action by donating. All money collected from the Humanitarian Bazaar and donations in the amount of 6.400 euros were forwarded to cover the medical expenses of a member of the “Contra Margum” and our fellow citizen, Maya.
After the end of the Kovin Rock Festival 2025, a short documentary film was edited from the collected video material as a permanent memory of this event and motivation to continue the tradition of organizing similar events in the future
